On the park

Hidden Valley is all about Leisure & Pleasure

On the park you can spend hours just watching the various species of birds, dragonflies and butterflies visiting the lake, gardens, woodland and grounds around the park. Like many of our guests, you could even capture the natural beauty of the place on film or canvas.

Over 60 different species of birds have been spotted at Hidden Valley – you will be amazed at how many can be seen on the bird tables just outside the windows of the award-winning Coffee Shop.

You might be lucky enough to meet some of the Rescue Ducks that make Hidden Valley their home each year, after being nurtured back to health by the hard-working volunteers of the North Devon Animal Ambulance.

Enjoy the sheer pleasure of exploring the nature trails, which take you through ancient and new woodland areas – you will find them brimming with animals and plants, and full of fresh Devon air!

The pace of life is so fast nowadays, it really is time to slow down. You deserve some rest and relaxation - and you'll find the atmosphere at Hidden Valley  is just perfect. A glass of wine, a good book, the sound of birdsong and all the time in the world!!

And for the Children...

There is plenty to keep them occupied for hours at Hidden Valley, especially If you want your children to learn to love the simplicity of nature.

Throughout the year the natural world provides so many exciting things to discover on site - spring bulbs popping out after the cold winter, beautiful ducklings following their mum all around the park, birds nesting in the most unusual places. The list is endless - all to delight your children.

There is a play area on the Top Park , with swings, a slide, zip wire, rope frame, a hiding hut and more. At the opposite end of the park, in Kingfisher Meadow, you will find another play area on the edge of the woods with a similar variety of play equipment.

Both adventure parks as well as the remaining 27 acres lend themselves ideally to children's wild and exciting imaginations!
